In my setting up my RFP I discovered another organisation who was applying.
They are larger and a well known older organisation in NZ of whom I have a lot of respect for. So I met with them and in a collaborative move will support 'their' RFP by withdrawing mine.
Interesting though as I have heard of a few services applying around the country and most have NOT contacted their local DTS or NETS people.
It sounds to me that a lot of people do NOT understand the document or is it that the DTS and NETS Officers have to sit and wait, with all that it includes like STRESS!! - (like they really need that at this time of the year!!) for someone to contact them after the due time for the cut off of the RFP's...... I do wonder who designed this,. They certainly were NOT a people person.
The other thought (on a negative note) if the people I support do NOT get the tender and then there 'appears' a provider who does and I do NOT want part of them .... I like all the other Officers in the country, if the same thing happens we are out of the equation - NO JOB. Years of experience down the tube.
The country may end up (worse case scenario) with a whole lot of NEW people who do NOT know what they are doing and will look at the Environmental Scans with horror.
Hey MoE and designers of the 'so called' NEW Attendance Service....keep us in there to TRAIN the new people coming up. America learnt this when they retired people too young and had to bring OLDER people back into executive positions to teach the younger executives how to not STRESS!!....hey food for thought a?
Please understand in all my communication re MoE...I am NOT talking about the LOCAL MoE Staff I have a LOT of respect for them and the job that they do under pressure from those 'data dopes' who set up the policies without proper consultation with the front-line workers. When will they learn!!!????
GRrrrrrrr!!! I have to submit ANOTHER budget as the one I'm working on ends in JULY Grrr!!!!! policy makers Grrr!!!!!! lol
Oh well such is life ya just gotta laugh about it! or ya go MAD!!:)
So have a GREAT BREAK Guys and Gals.......we will see you all NEXT TERM & we will do it all AGAIN!
