We were all asked to apply by Te Ora Hou for the Kaiawhina (Attendance Adviser) positions AP
RESPONSE
It was good that they did actually offer you something. Remember though it will be a very busy time for them getting everything up and running.
----------------------------
The new provider for Hawkes Bay is Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga, they are based in Hastings and will be advertising for Attendance Service staff shortly on Seek, newspapers and their website. So we have to reapply if interested.
Stephan you quoted 0.62 cents per kilometer?
when was this changed? we have been receiving 0.58 cents per k as per NZEI booklet.
GW
RESPONSE
With the rise in petrol costs the NZEI payment will NOT cover your running costs. I took the PPTA rate which is 0.62 cents.... sd

thanks for that P. Yes feel a bit like that myself...I would like to have a panic attack, but experience tells me it will do no good.
A strange place to be. Time for a new adventure a?
I agree. I wouldn't help anyone to get a (new) attendance service going as the MoE have made the decision that ours wasn't working. (A pile of crap me thinks) unless there was a very good remuneration package for the next 3 years.
We had huge success rates and on a very small 'shoe string' budget price.
I managed two DTS's receiving under $20.00 pr/hr. I justified this by the understanding that I was on a salary and getting paid through the holidays. To me that was a good deal. I bet the new providers will NOT have the same mentality.
I also employed two other staff on the same and never went over budget. In fact I saved the service money every year.
I will keep in touch...sd
