Rock On Memorandum of Understanding
This joint protocol has been developed by the Rock On Committee which is made up of a number of agencies in the community
I am committed to the provision of high quality, integrated services to combat truancy and understand that the sharing of relevant information is central to the effectiveness of this process.
I understand that the youth talked about at Rock On meetings have been advised that their cases will be discussed with other agencies.
I understand that any information exchanged by these agencies shall be dealt with in accordance with the Privacy Act 1993 and the Official Information Act 1982, in that such information may only be used to enhance the inter agency approach to combat truancy and reduce crime.
I will share the information in a manner consistent with the following requirements.
*I will not share more information than is required
*I will not intentionally withhold relevant information
*I will exercise due diligence in releasing any information
*Information exchanged operates on a strictly need-to-know basis
*I will only record information I believe to be accurate and pertinent to purpose
*I will destroy any records of information once that subject is no longer a person of interest to Rock On, or myself.
